We purchased our house via Goldacre Estates. Alex looked after us really well and I'd highly recommend the company.

Edit: today is exactly 1 year from completion.

What typically is the % fee for selling property ? Anyone with recent experience? Or is it more fixed fee?

Thank you.

More or less fixed at 5%, but you may find one offering a slightly lower rate.

Out here, you can appoint as many agents as you like, only the agent getting you a buyer gets the commission, everyone else gets zero.  In the UK, agents are very reluctant to accept multi agency deals.

Also, in the UK you might have to pay extra costs to the agent, advertising etc., out here, the agents cover all the costs.

5% for multi-agency deals, and 4% for an agent who has exclusivity, is what I've found out over the last month-

Thanks to each of you, appreciate the response - had a couple of conversations but only 1 price given so far at 4%. Interesting that the first thing they seem to ask is how much you need rather than trying to establish how much the property is worth.

There's always Idealista if one has the time available and doesn't want to give Money to agents.
