We don't have physical phone line, currently on movistar rural Internet service - crappy satellite!
Fibra will be our first physical line! When it gets connected

Fibra connected today - hooray! Took 2-3 hours to pull through the cable and connect!

Currently getting just under 600mbps download and just over 100mbps upload which seems strange as I understood it was symmetrical. Brilliant in the lounge where the router is but drops away rapidly in the other rooms or on the terrace which I find a bit disappointing. However, it is sooooo much better than anything we've had before, and a lot cheaper!

Great news Tamara, we have some TP Link Wi-Fi extenders, one base unit connected to the router and 2 extenders we bought in Electron, work really well and one gives us Wi-fi on the roof terrace

I agree with Jon we have that set up, and i understand why you are disappointed, but when I quieried it I was told " Speed does not necessarily convert to Signal strength"

Yes agree with John R the speed is to do with what arrives at your router, the Wifi signal around your house is affected by walls, glass, doors etc so the extenders mesh to give a stronger signal around the house.

Tamara, do look closely at the location of your router. Google it to get advice.  You can make a lot of difference by relocating it.  

I was asked not long ago by a neighbour and found his router on the floor - hardly the best location, particularly as he lost signal upstairs!!

Thanks Tom. We've got the router in the best place for our main usage. We've put one of the extenders in the kitchen which improves usage on front terrace. Guess I was just expecting miracles expecting it to reach all corners of our garden 🤣

Tamara signals have problems with stone walls, get yourself a TPLink signal extender that goes through the electrical wires in the house. It does not work with extension leads.

Thanks Can, we've got them but I don't think they make a lot of difference to be honest.
I want my 600 mbps everywhere, 
I want it all, I want it all, and I want it now!
Thinking of going up to the 1000mbps then my OH can do all his stuff and leave some over for me to be using 🤣

To be fair things are a lot better, my pics upload much quicker and I haven't had websites freeze on me.
