This situation has allowed the closure of the shelters in El Rosario and La Orotava, while those enabled in La Victoria, La Matanza and Los Realejos remain open.



The areas that remain evacuated preventively are the surroundings of Las Lagunetas, within the municipalities of El Rosario and La Matanza; from San Cristóbal to the mountain in El Sauzal; the area of El Farrobillo and the upper area of Vera del Barranco in Santa Úrsula, in addition to Izaña and the National Parador of El Teide, in La Orotava.



Clavijo indicated that today has been an intense and hard day due to the high temperatures and that these Weather conditions will continue, which will cause reactivations, but the population must maintain tranquility because we have a wide firefighting device. The fire in Tenerife evolves in a positive way.

The evolution of the fire in Tenerife continues to be favorable after developing a quiet night in which no relevant incidents have been registered, except for some hot spots in Aguamansa, in La Orotava, and Güímar on which the extinguishing teams have acted quickly.



Although this positive evolution brings the stabilization of the fire closer, technicians continue to ask for caution due to the high temperatures that continue to be registered on the island, which maintains the risk of specific reactivations.

Early in the morning there was a traffic accident in which a vehicle of the BRIFOR of the Cabildo de Tenerife went off the road and hit a tree on the climb to Las Raíces, El Rosario, resulting in a slight injury to one of its occupants. The affected person was assisted at the scene of the incident so it was not necessary to transfer him to a health center.

During the day the extinction operation will continue working on the work of consolidating the perimeter and the aerial means will remain making discharges in specific areas, especially in the area of Las Dehesas, in Güímar.
