A man died on Saturday afternoon in Fuerteventura when the vehicle in which he was traveling overturned and caught fire on the FV-10 road, in the municipality of La Oliva, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of the Government of the Canary Islands (CECOES) 1-1-2.
Personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) went to the scene of the event and could only confirm the death of the man, the driver of the vehicle and sole occupant, the Cecoes note indicates.
The 1-1-2 was alerted to the accident at 3:20 p.m., so it activated the SUC, the Extinction and Rescue Service of La Oliva, the Local Police and the Civil Guard, which was in charge of the corresponding proceedings.
