Fuel Prices

Ron tankers have a number of compartments and what I was told is that the basic fuel goes in and then the tanker pulls forward and the additives are then added to the compartments going to the branded fuel stations.

Browsing online today I came across a list of fuel prices across the island. I thought it would be useful to post here, then I noticed the date - Nov 2010 !! I've still attached it for reference. Those were the days ……….

102.9 for 95 in the Caleta/Puerto area today.  That's down from 105.0, which was what it was on Monday.

Topped up yesterday at the station opposite the Garden Centre
on the road out to Tetir/La Oliva from the by-pass.  Price for 95 was 1.049.
Would have used a cheaper option by the port but too busy yesterday what
with the associated cruise ships traffic.

If you go to Lanzarote for a day or more make sure you fill up on Fuerteventura first, the fuel I use is 5cents a Lt. dearer

Photo of Repsol garage at Playa Honda LZ, was there to get my car serviced before trip back to UK.

Unusually the price of 95 has stayed constant for a few weeks (102.9) in the Puerto/Caleta area.

Found a useful site today:

compare fuel prices

you can compare prices at all garages in Puerto del Rosario for example, by fuel type. Looks pretty up to date. Filter by Palmas (Las), then whichever town you want.
