Hadn't noticed but the passiflora is blooming away twined into the pepper tree.

   

and my favourite geranium, a majorero one, is just starting.


and I found a Datura seedling self seeded in my working area.


The weedkiller will be in action shortly to clear the picon and grava areas so I need to check all over for wanted seedlings and transplant before death descends.

I have another Cassia in the garden. It's the one with tall yellow spike flowers, sometimes called Popcorn. Not flowered yet though. Seems shrubs from seeds take time to flower. Second year?

What do you use to keep Geraniium moths of them Tamara? management loves them but every time we plant them we et invaded by small armies of them.

I used to use Bayer's Provado Ultimate Bug Killer, a systemic that really was multi-purpose, but they appear to have changed their formula and it is now 'contact' rather than 'systemic', shame. They've probably taken out something that was harmful to bees so I can't really fault them for that though.

Due to the wind today I couldn't weedkill as planned so did some weeding by hand  but, turned out to be a blessing as I found some more seedlings I want to keep.

Firstly a Rosemary hiding under a shrub (this wouldn't have been weedkilled but needs moving quickly before it develops too large a root system.



and then what I hope are seedlings of the shrub itself - for those I'll have to wait and see! Unusually they have 4 initial leaves rather than the normal for most seedlings 2.

Lots of chives have self-seeded 

Loads of white Datura seedlings germinating if anyone wants some.

I've managed to beat the red spider mite on my Datura Blackcurrant Swirls and Yellows at the moment although it's been tedious work - spraying each side of each leaf every week for about 6 weeks. I won't be able to keep that up as the plants get bigger!

Saw a great Agave today - one of the leaves had stayed wrapped around the others at the top giving the plant a lantern shape:



and I'd like some help with IDing something peculiar in the next pic. Little hair like strands with white blobs on the ends. In this case it's on a rosemary but I have seen it on other plants before. Any ideas? Friend or foe?
