Beautiful definition picture Tardis.
Funnily enough I was taking similar pics yesterday but only with my mobile's camera:

I'm delighted to report we have been eating our own bananas for several weeks now!
They are taking their time to ripen and I'm sure I will probably get a glut in a week or two's time, but I'm cutting a hand at a time and ripening inside in a paper bag. They taste divine! Very thirsty plant, I'm having to give it loads of water every day. Just hope the tree continues to support the weight of the fruit - the prop got knocked out a few weeks ago in the gales, damaging a few fruit in the process, and I can't get it back in.

Seeds on order ![]() Edited to add a warning: If you try to order seeds online be very very wary! Only order from reputable companies, never from individuals. There are a lot of Asian (not racist, pure fact) people offering seeds for all sorts of wonderful plants that just don't exist or can't be grown from seed. If you are lucky you will get a small packet containing grass seeds or similar, more likely you will get nothing. Examples are blue roses, all sorts of orchids, luffas! (by the way, Orchid seeds can be bought online, for a lot of Money, from specialist vendors, but it's not like growing sunflowers - a lot of equipment and knowledge is necessary!)

My Datura 'Blackcurrant Swirl' has been smelling amazing in the cool mornings and especially this morning in the damp!
![]() Sam - a challenge for you! Please can you invent a way we can capture and share aromas? The yellow datura has also started reblooming but I can't detect any fragrance: ![]() Has anyone got a white fragrant datura in their garden? I'm after some seeds please I did have a white one but it had no smell and I ended up ditching it as it wasn't a particularly healthy plant. Repotted my ponytail palms yesterday:
