German citizen arrested on 5 international warrants for fraud crimes
On July 15, the Civil Guard of Fuerteventura arrested a 27-year-old person with a valid European Arrest Warrant (EAW) from Germany, requesting his search and arrest for extradition, for numerous fraud crimes.
After receiving information through citizen collaboration, of the possible stay of a German citizen in the town of Gran Tarajal (Tuineje), who would be wanted by the German authorities, therefore, the Territorial Team of the Judicial Police of Gran Tarajal is carrying out procedures to verify the information provided and the validity of the accusations made against him.
Furthermore, during the phase of obtaining data and preparing information on the claimant, it has been found that he is linked to various fraud crimes reported to the Civil Guard in Corralejo, Vecindario, and Costa Teguise.
Once the information was verified and the validity of the allegations was checked, the Civil Guard intensified its surveillance, being able to observe how on July 15 he left the address where he was, proceeding to arrest him and subsequently transferred to the Gran
Tarajal Post. Once the proceedings were instructed and the Central Examining Court was informed of the arrest, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the corresponding duty court in Puerto del Rosario, who ordered his imprisonment.
The ETPJ of Gran Tarajal is continuing its investigations aimed at clarifying all the crimes in which the detainee is involved.
