#1
Radio Sintonia:

The 'I buy in Fuerteventura' vouchers can be purchased in September.

The president of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Sergio Lloret, together with the 1st vice president and the Minister of Commerce, Domingo Pérez, received yesterday morning, in the plenary hall, Abbas Moujir, president of the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA). The reason for the meeting was the signing of the agreement between the Cabildo and the FAUCA that will make possible the implementation of the project 'I buy in Fuerteventura', an initiative in which, through a system of bonds that consumers acquire, they will be able to exchange them in the affiliated establishments, promoting the recovery of economic activity in the small and medium commerce of the island, as well as open shopping areas. This initiative will be developed through the federation, which will be in charge of designing, planning and organizing the campaign.

Between September 1 and 15, the registration period will be open for businesses in Fuerteventura that are interested in participating in this initiative. "Our greatest desire is for as many businesses as possible to join in the first phase," said Sergio Lloret. It will be from the same day September 15 when users will be able to acquire the bonuses.

This agreement has a financial file amounting to 316,522 euros, of which the Cabildo de Fuerteventura contributes the largest part, although it also has the collaboration of the General Directorate of Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the funds 'Reactivation of the Commercial Fabric of the Canary Islands'. It is an investment with which "we hope to boost businesses, since we are talking about increasing sales directly and increasing the attraction of customers," explained the island's head of Commerce, Domingo Pérez, who added that "this initiative is not only designed to help local commerce, but also to improve the family economy without reducing consumption." This is possible thanks to the fact that, for each bonus (whose maximum amount is 20 euros) the beneficiary will only have to contribute half of the amount, that is, 10 euros maximum for each bonus. The rules establish that each applicant DNI or NIE may acquire a maximum of 20 bonds. From the insular Ministry of Commerce they plan to obtain a return close to half a million euros, Money that would be poured directly into the commercial fabric of Majorero.
"We trust that this agreement will be vital to reactivate the commercial and economic fabric that, as we know, has been severely punished in recent years," concluded the president of the Cabildo, Sergio Lloret.

The Cabildo of Fuerteventura begins the campaign of adhesion of the small and medium businesses of Fuerteventura to 'Bono Consumo', a project co-financed with the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands, by which an impact on the establishments of the island of more than 600,000 euros is expected, consisting of the citizen paying the amount of 10 euros per bond, and the Ministry of Commerce adds the same amount to spend in these shops. This project also has the collaboration of the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands, with which an agreement has been made for the implementation of this bonus within the campaign 'I buy in Fuerteventura'. This presentation ceremony was attended by the president of the Cabildo, Sergio Lloret, the General Director of Commerce and Consumption of the Government of the Canary Islands, David Mille, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Crafts, Domingo Pérez, and the president of the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (Fauca), Abbas Moujir.

The budget for the 'Consumption Bonus' campaign is 318,000 euros and all those businesses that wish to do so can join the campaign from September 1 through the website yocomproenfuerteventura.com. The process is very simple and will only require you to fill in the registration form on that page. Once citizens go to the premises to make their purchases, they should only communicate to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Crafts, these sales.
The president of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Sergio Lloret, affirms "that it is one of the main objectives of the island institution, the help to the business fabric of the island, after the difficult moments they have had to face during and after the pandemic, and this bonus is a way to project almost 600,000 euros directly in the majorera SMEs", In addition, LLoret continues "I want to thank the involvement of both the Government of the Canary Islands, as well as Fauca and the trade associations of the island, in this project that begins filming in September".
For his part, David Mille, recalled that the Regional Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce developed in collaboration with the business associative fabric and with the island councils a global plan to reactivate the Canarian commercial fabric. "A plan that has taken into account those islands that, as in the case of Fuerteventura, their commercial fabric has been especially affected as a result of the pandemic and their high dependence on tourism activity," he said.
Hence the development of this program to which Comercio de Canarias allocates an amount of 196,000 euros "to encourage consumption and generate synergies between tourism, leisure and commerce, a revulsive that we hope will help the definitive reactivation of commercial activity on the island that is so needed," added the general director.
The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Crafts, Domingo Pérez, wants to "encourage all businesses on the island to join this campaign that will be a great incentive for the recovery of the commercial fabric of the island of Fuerteventura. I am convinced that all the establishments that join will have very good results and an increase in their sales as has already been seen in other islands such as La Palma or neighboring Lanzarote where similar actions have been carried out. In addition, this launch of 'Bono Consumo' coincides with the return to school, which will be a help for many majorera families with children"
The president of Fauca, Abbas Moujir, points out that this campaign 'I buy in Fuerteventura' is an important revulsive for small and medium-sized companies on the island, and a great opportunity, especially in the conjunction of the back to school campaign, which is a great economic effort for families" and "I want to encourage all businesses to adhere to this consumption bonus that will be an important economic injection for them".
Once citizens, from next September 15, can start using Bono Consumo, acquiring a voucher or more, up to a maximum of 10, each for an amount of 10 euros, which will be recharged for an equal amount by the Ministry of Commerce, and that will generate a QR code that businesses can read through an application that can be downloaded from the same website where they register for join the www.yocomproenfuerteventura.com campaign. On the same page you can consult all the establishments adhered to Bono Consumo.
This campaign aimed at revitalizing the small and medium of the island, excludes large stores, franchises, and food establishments such as supermarkets, and other establishments such as restaurants since the latter can join Bonoventura, which promotes the Ministry of Tourism directed by Jessica de León.
