JCB on the beach in Caleta?
#1
The digger was out in force again today! Can anyone explain what the function of this is? We see it every couple of months. Are they cleaning? I don't see any kind of filter on the front; it's just pushing the sand up and then flattening it down again, so it seems bonkers to me.

Any insights?

We were there in the late afternoon, maybe 5.30? It was by the hotels at Atlantico, right at the end of the road between the Sheraton and the first Elba.

Another interesting point: when we came back out of the shopping centre, the JCB was gone, all the big wooden sunbeds were sitting on the pavement, and there was a Police car parked there, one policeman staying with the car and one walking around the pavement.

I'm assuming there wasn't an incident, but who knows?

I think that was partially due to the intervention of the digger dragging up deeper, wetter sand, but it might have been high tide also!

No sign of it yesterday when we walked down last night. Maybe someone lost something? Drug investigation? No clue.

A local hotel source advised me that a Kids Club's "Bury Mom in the Sand Competition" was hijacked by an overenthusiastic dad.
