Rescued injured while kitesurfing near Isla de Lobos.
As reported by CECOES through the website of the Government of the Canary Islands, the GES helicopter rescued a wounded Kitesurfer in Fuerteventura.
The call to 112 Cabarias was made around 5:20 p.m., today, Sunday, July 10.
the GES teams moved to the site, located one mile from the Island of Lobos.

Assessment of those affected provided by the SUC:
- Male, 35 years old, who at the initial moment of the assistance presents trauma to the shoulder rescued by the GES helicopter and transferred to the helisurface of the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.
- Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands: rescue helicopter
- Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC): basic life support ambulance
- Maritime Rescue
- At the time indicated above, the Emergency and Safety Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting health assistance for a kitesurfer who had suffered an accident and due to the injury it was unfeasible to put him on a boat.
- The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
- The GES helicopter rescued the affected person and transferred him to the helisurface of the hospital where an ambulance from the SUC took care of his transfer to the hospital emergency department.
