Kitesurfer seriously injured

A 63-year-old kitesurfer was seriously injured after an accident and hit rocks in the town of Puerto Lajas.

 

At 6.43 p.m., Wednesday, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting medical assistance for a kitesurfer who had hit the rocks of the coast.

 

The 112th immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.

 

Local Police officers upon arrival at the scene of the incident informed the Coordinating Center of the seriousness of the injuries presented by the injured and after the arrival of the ambulances of the SUC, where he was assisted and stabilized, the affected was transferred to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura with various serious traumatisms.
