I had a look in yesterday. It's difficult to work out what the new extension/layout will be.
The shop has been completely emptied. A new glass trype frontage has been put along the south side to replace what they demolished. The changes must be going on where the old storeroom was. Photos here: https://caletafuerteventura.com/photo-al...orks-2019/

I had al look yesterday also, and other than replacing a block wall with a glass one, as Stephen says there is very little else happening externally, so if they are going to make it lager, it is all internal, but I cannot see why they would need planning permission for that, as they do not appear to be increasing the footprint, having said that in the UK you would need planning permission to demolish and change the structure of the wall, so who knows, but the clock is ticking, if as Stephen says the shop has been completely emptied they will need 2/3 days to replace the fixtures, 5/6 days to restock and a day or two to clean it, so at best they have six days left to complete structural alterations if there are going to be any.

Any movement on this? Headed over next week and don't want to make the trek to the supermarket if it won't be open!

Looks like we're coming back at just the right time! So excited to be coming back— it's getting so cold and dark at home.
Hope you've all been doing well!

We drove past yesterday, and there is a large sign on the gate, which says "Reopening 22/10" so it would appear that unlike most building/construction projects on the Island, this one is on time

I am cannot wait to see what they have done internally, as other than replacing solid block walls with walls with windows, nothing appears to have happened externally

I went in this morning. They have relaid the car park & put a new floor in the shop. Apart from that most items seem to be in the same locations, aisles look pretty similar. The biggest change I saw was in what used to be the cleaning/detergent aisle/corner. Didn’t really look at the fresh counter bits though.
