Mercadona will hire about 300 people for the summer campaign in the Canary Islands.

Mercadona, a company of physical supermarkets and online sales, plans to hire about 300 people for the summer campaign of 2023 during the month of May and until the end of September in the Canary Islands. Mercadona shares 600 million euros in bonuses with its workforce, 50% more than in 2023.

Mercadona's Management Committee has decided, as part of the profit-sharing strategy, to distribute an additional half bonus among the more than 100,000 people who make up the company (in the Canary Islands it has more than 4,600 workers) in addition to the bonus for objectives that it traditionally distributes each year. In this way, the company distributes 600 million euros with its workforce, 50% more than in 2023, a year in which the total amount distributed was 405 million euros.

Since Mercadona's shareholders launched this initiative in 2001, the company has distributed more than 5,580 million euros to workers. This figure reflects their commitment to shared growth and mutual benefit.
