Received a bill today from CAAF and thought it was worth updating this thread with the details.
It is for the period July and August 2020! Final date for payment is 04.01.21. I'm not sure when the DD will go through the bank - when I see it I'll update this post. Standing charge 6.01€ (for the 2 month period) 1st 10 m3 are charged at 1.12€ next 20 m3 charged at 1.30€ next 10 m3 charged at 1.76€ 41+ m3 charged at 2.44€ my usage stopped in the 40s so I'm not sure if there is a higher band. It says the tarifs are as published in a BOP dated 02.07.10 so doesn't look like there has been a price rise recently. (I am not on Mains sewerage so I'm not sure how that gets charged or even if it is a CAAF service.)

Interesting info Tamara. I’ve never seen a CAAF bill before so keep it safe as a collectors item.
A couple of questions if I may .... Is there a daily standing charge quoted anywhere ? Obviously I can work it out myself from your numbers but curious if it is made explicit ? I take it the usage costs you quote are per m3 within each of the usage bands ? Just want to be sure. 40m3 in two months is a lot of water. The garden I imagine .... Hope all is well. No doubt bump into you in due course.

Hi FV Mouse (& M!)
The Standing Charge is just quoted at that sum, nothing about per day etc. Yes, the prices I quoted are per m3 within those bands. So, first 10m3 cost me 11.20€, next 20m3 cost me 26.00€ etc. Garden and filled the inflatable swimming pool. The bill shows nearly a year's usage (each one covers the 2 month's up to xxx) Dec19 23 Feb20 26 Apr20 33 Jun20 37 Aug20 43 It does seem to be creeping up! But when all's said and done I paid 68€ for 2 month's of water at the height of summer - I consider it very good value for Money. I expect the usage to drop back down again over the winter when I won't be watering the garden so much. The good thing is that none of it is 'once used and wasted', it all ends up on the garden sooner or later via the depuradora. I've had friends who have been hit with horrendous bills due to previously unknown underground leaks - I check my water meter every week to make sure it's not ticking over when it shouldn't be! Hope to see you both soon.
