New Market in Morro Jable and Costa Calma
#1
The event will begin this Thursday, May 20, in Morro Jable, and will be held every Monday and Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and every Wednesday and Sunday in Costa Calma
The City Council of Pájara, through the Department of Commerce and Markets, coordinated by Sonia Mendoza, will launch a new street market in the municipality as of this Thursday, May 20. The first appointment will take place in Morro Jable (Avenida El Saladar, Jandía area) and will be repeated every Monday and Thursday, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., in this town, and every Wednesday and Sunday, in the same schedule, in Costa Calma.

The mayor of Pájara, Pedro Armas, points out that the Consistory starts a new edition of this initiative in order to continue promoting the local commercial sector, which has suffered so much during this stage of the health crisis, and which is the economic engine of many families of the municipality whose main sustenance is street vending, as well as the economic recovery of Pájara from such a traditional southern area as the markets.

Along the same lines, the councilor of the Area, Sonia Mendoza, points out the return of this event as great news to revive the commercial sector of Pájara and to diversify the local offer, now counting on this mobile market, in addition to the agricultural and artisanal market present in Morro Jable.

"We revive this initiative so that those interested can put on sale various items such as clothing, footwear, accessories or jewelry, thus expanding the range of products that citizens and visitors can purchase in markets in Pájara", details the mayor.

To ensure the safety of exhibitors and visitors, the City Council reminds attendees of the mandatory use of a mask, the need to respect interpersonal distance and avoid crowds.
