The port authority will change a crane lane at the dock of Puerto del Rosario.
It is essential due to the new load conditions required by the regulations, in addition to taking into account the aging of the infrastructure.
The Port Authority of Las Palmas (Spain) wants to replace one of the crane lanes of the container terminals of the Commercial Dock of Puerto de Rosario, located in Fuerteventura.
During one of their latest inspections, those responsible for the enclave have discovered that one of the sections of the rail for the gantry cranes has rusty anchors and lack of fastening, which is a risk for the operation of the cranes.
Therefore, the works will involve the collapse of the pavement, the removal of damaged material and the replacement of the lane. The project has an execution period of three months and a base bidding budget of 384,789.58 euros, as well as an estimated contract value of 359,616.43 euros.
The Commercial Dock of the Port of Rosario is used for the storage and transport of goods, especially in containers. This area has two container terminals offering berthing lines of 190 and 200 meters long, as well as two gantry cranes.
On the other hand, the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has begun this past December to reinforce and prepare the first alignment of the East dock located in the port. Those responsible for the enclave consider that these works are essential for the adaptation to the current conditions of loads required by the regulations, taking into account the old age of this infrastructure.
