OHANA Lounge Bar - Caleta de Fuste
#21
Just to clarify, Ohana are Sicilian and not Italian. It is a snack bar and lounge and not a restaurant. We have visited a few times this last week being neighbours and all that had to support our new friends.

We had a very pleasant evening with some friends 6 of us in total and the staff were very attentive to us even when there were other customers there. They served us complementary snacks over the course of the night which we consumed with over €100 worth of drinks.

I think they need to be given a chance to establish themselves and let people see what they have to offer.

Incidentally speaking about new bars and restaurants the other morning I noticed the lady who used to work the BBQ in Gambrinus washing the patio of one of the units between Ohana and California, I asked the guy in California who was moving in next door and he told me a menu bar, later I got an opportunity to look in the door and there is a bar at the back and a load of tables and chairs in it. We will have to wait and see who opens up there.

I always thought Sicily was a region (albeit an island) of Italy. Their facebook page page says Italian, so who am I to argue. Since they offer food it would be nice to be asked if we wanted to eat, it doesn't take much. It don't believe they are all novices.

Don’t call Sicilian people Italian. I had two lovely holidays in Sicily and discovered doing so has a similar effect as calling Irish people English.

It seems this one didn't last long,, it's up for sale. @ 90K

https://www.idealista.com/en/inmueble/89313275/

A lot of bars seem to be falling by the wayside,, The Sports Lounge and The Trafalgar are gone.
The Lord Nelson was refused a rent reduction, so is moving (if they find a place to move to)..

And while I might only head up to Corralejo once in a while,, the bar I like up there, Mc Carthy's is moving to save a bit on rent.

There will be others that wont make it out of this lockdown nightmare.
iked The Trafalgar,, he Sports Lounge,, But I liked The Trafalgar,,

Yes, now listed at @70K , That's just for the lease I think,, you would still need to pay rent.

It's a nice bar for 60K ,, But it is a bit away from everything else,, it is on a corner (kind of) but it's a quiet corner.

Now Heroes or The Lord Nelson,, Now that's another story ..
