The mill continues to grind olives from the 2023 campaign.

The mill continues to grind olives from the 2023 campaign. The oil mill of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura has come alive with the arrival of summer, immersing itself in the process of making olive oil after the beginning of the expected olive harvest campaign at the beginning of summer.

In an exciting start, a total of 33 dedicated producers have already delivered an impressive 23,000 kilograms of olives.

The harvest season was inaugurated this August with the varieties of arbequina, hojiblanca and picual olives, and will last until the harvest of the verdial olive. During this process, the necessary hygienic-sanitary standards are strictly followed to ensure the optimal manufacture of the precious olive oil.

The president of the Cabildo and in charge of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Lola García, has expressed her gratitude to the olive growers for their dedication to preserving the excellence of a product as distinctive as majorero oil, which is gaining recognition both locally and outside the confines of Fuerteventura.

It is essential to remember that the Cabildo is facilitating its oil mill for any farmer who wants it. To request this service, simply communicate it in advance through the telephone of the farm: 928 87 80 66
