The Canary Islands Government processes two new photovoltaic plants in the municipality of Puerto del Rosario. These are two projects, which add an investment close to five million euros.
The location of both plants, according to the documentation of the projects published on Monday in the official bulletin, would be the area known as Suerte de Don Felipe, in the capital city.
One of them is promoted by Akasaka International Advisors and the other by Narita International Advisors. These companies are linked to Univergy International, specializing in renewable energy.
Applications for administrative authorization of photovoltaic plants have been publicly available for a period of one month.
One of them has 17,136 photovoltaic modules, in addition to transformation centres and underground line to evacuate energy to the grid, with connection in the Las Salinas electrical substation. Its budget amounts to 2.6 million and would have 4.7 megawatts of power.
The other photovoltaic plant, with 4.5 megawatts of power, would have 16,000 photovoltaic modules and would also connect to the Las Salinas electrical substation. The necessary investment is around 2.4 million euros, according to the project.
On the other hand, this Monday the environmental impact assessment of the photovoltaic plant promoted by the DISA company, with 10.4 megawatts of power, in the area known as Rosa de la Monja, in Puerto del Rosario, has also been publicly presented.
This plant would be composed of 33,840 panels and it would be necessary to invest 5.7 million euros. The declaration of public utility that is processed by the Government of the Canary Islands implies the expropriation of various land for agricultural use: about 4,200 meters temporarily and a temporary surface as access easements and for ditches.
