The Cabildo of Fuerteventura will rehabilitate the Punta de Jandía Lighthouse with a conservation and renovation project of its facilities. The action is part of the commitment of Museums of Fuerteventura to improve the island's offer of centres and museums. On the occasion of the works and in order to start the preparatory actions, the Cabildo has proceeded to close the facilities, which can continue to be visited outside.
At the same time, the Cabildo is working to award the management of the cafeteria, as part of the commitment acquired by Museums of Fuerteventura to improve the unique experience of visiting the lighthouses as an element of the Fuerteventura heritage. In this sense, the Entallada Lighthouse and the Tostón Lighthouse are also immersed in the process of their rehabilitation, also accompanied by a cafeteria service.
Museums of Fuerteventura hopes that the works will be carried out in the shortest possible time and apologizes for the inconvenience that the improvements to this infrastructure may cause.
