My wife and I have just applied through a gestor for the health card. They have in replybasked for a notarised copy of our marriage certificate despite the fact that my wifes S1 was issued as my dependent i.e. my wife. Has anyone else encountered this issueand is there any way round it as our marriage cetificate is in UK and getting it is going to be an issue. Many thanks for any advice.

In short no, we registered 5 years ago and no one asked for anything other than our S1,s, I I can't see the need for it you register separately get separate cards and separate numbers, why does it matter if you are married or not?

Hi Yew, yes we had to get an official translation of our wedding certificate as my wife was registering as my dependent. Our solicitor arranged the translation the following day and from memory it cost €30.

Thank you Tom we were not aware of this requirement when we applied. Problem is it is our MC is in UK and with lockdown there it will be difficult to obtain. Thanks once again as your other post re green card was most helpful in us getting that. Sometimes it seems Spanish bureaucracy is meant to wear you down into submissiion

You can order a certified copy of your marriage cert from the UK. Get an apostille added and you won't need a translation here. Not the most straight forward thing to do but a bit of online research enabled me to do it several years ago.

When I applied for my S1 it took ages took arrive. We thought we were going to have to use my S1 for my wife as a dependent (for the health card) and so arranged for the Apostile. However my wife received an S1 in her own right, even though we hadn't actually asked for one! (this actually arrived before I got mine).

My first request for the S1, never arrived. My second request arrived after 6 weeks.
Beware folks, they will only post to your fuerteventura address and it takes ages for them to arrive!
If your second request fails to arrive, they will consider emailing them to you but I understand that the Spanish Health Agency are not too keen on the emailed versions.

I ordered them by telephone from Fuerteventura and the lady in Newcastle was very helpful explaining everything and they arrived in under 2 weeks to our Fuerteventura address.
We haven't registered our S1's here on the island , we used them to get our residencia, we are still on our Windermere GP panel as we had communication from them during
September and I had a blood test & my flu jab in
October.

Does anyone have a link for obtaining a cita previa with INSS in Puerto del Rosario.

I just googled INSS cita previa and it gave a link, you search for office by nearest to your postcode.
