S75 Restaurant Caleta

Please bear in mind these are personal opinions and should be read as that

We had lunch there yesterday, from the outside it is impressive and the inside is well-decorated and furnished, and the staff are very friendly, I had Ravioli with Porcini mushrooms and Parmesan, and management had meat Lasagne, both of which were excellent, the downside was the portions, I had an Italian mother and was brought up on Italian cooking and it is my go-to food very often, and I have eaten Italian food all over The World, and I have never seen Lasagne served with fried potatoes, and basically the plate contained a large spoonful of Lasagne and half a plate of fried potatoes, my Ravioli was about 6/7 pieces of ravioli and sauce, I don,t have a great appetite but I must admit it was insufficient, and for my wife to comment on the size of the portions is very unusual as she barely eats enough to feed a sparrow, the other thing I found off-putting was the prices on the menu to not include tax, it states on the bottom of the menu that this is the case, nonetheless IMHO the menu should include the total cost, the two meals plus two bottles of water a glass of wine and one portion of Tirimasu { which was average } came to €42 €44.94 after tax, it is safe to say we will not be rushing back.

As JohnR has indicated these are personal views, we dined at S75 last night and have to say it was only OK.

We booked for 8pm and when we arrived we weren't asked if we had a reservation just directed to a table of our choice outside and given menus, started at a table on the corner but it was windy so moved to a more sheltered table.  Order taken promptly drinks first then food,  felt rather rushed main course brought to the table before we had finished our starter.

Stater good, main courses ok, our friend's risotto was rather tasteless and I had to ask for a spoon for my pasta which in my book is a given but the waiter questioned my request.  Didn't have a dessert.

Another hate of mine is that the menu price didn't include the 7% tax, total bill 107€ for 3 starters, 3 mains, a bottle of house wine, a coke and 2 bottles of water.

Won't be rushing back.
