Measures for level 2
 

In restaurants 75% outdoor capacity 50% indoor capacity, maximum groups of 8 people, closing time at 4 in the morning those activities that did not have closing hours

 

Prohibited public shows indoors, outdoors at 50% capacity, seated public and 33% of the capacity if food is consumed

 

In enclosed cultural spaces, cinemas, theaters, museums, auditoriums a 55% capacity

 

In discos and cocktail bars 75% of the capacity outdoors and 50% indoors Tables of 8 people Close at 02:00 h, expandable until 04:00 h in case all staff and customers have negative PDIA.


(Tamara - This is in addition to the ongoing rules re wearing masks in shops, public buildings, public transport etc and anytime you can't guarantee distance from others. Along with basic common sense, hand hygiene etc!)

We were out for supper in Caleta last night and IMO the restaurant we dinned at and the famous one next door which had queues were not adhering to the outside or inside capacity rules for level 2

After today's review by the Canarian Government, Fuerteventura is staying at Level 2. Lanzarote moves up to Level 2' while the other islands stay at Level 1.

Fuerteventura is staying at Level 2 restrictions following today's review by the Canarian Government. Lanzarote stays at Level 2, and the other Canary Islands remain at Level 1.

Level 3 restrictions will be in place from December 6th following the review by the Canarian Government. All the other islands are at Level 1.


Level 3 restrictions as far as I can understand are:            

• Meetings of people from different households. Maximum of 6 people.
  
  
• Hospitality and restaurants – outdoor terraces. Closing time 12 midnight, maximum of 6 people per table.
  
  
• Hospitality and restaurants – indoors. Closing time 12 midnight, with a maximum of 4 people per table.
  
  
• Gym. 33% of maximum capacity. A prior appointment may be required.
  
  
• Collective public transport (more than 9 seats). 33% of maximum capacity.
  
  
• Cultural Events (cinemas, concert halls). 55% of maximum capacity.
  
  
• Nightlife establishments. Closed.
  
  
• Spas, jacuzzis and saunas. 33% of maximum capacity. A prior appointment may be required.
  
  
• Outdoor swimming pools. 33% of maximum capacity.
  
  
• Shops and businesses. 25% of maximum capacity.
  
  
• Beaches. 50% of maximum capacity. 
  

General measures:

• Masks must be worn by adults and children over the age of 6 in enclosed public spaces, except when eating or drinking, and outdoors where it is not possible to maintain an interpersonal safety distance of 1.5m. Not mandatory if you are disabled or have a respiratory condition.
  
• Interpersonal distance (set at 1.5 metres).
  
• The use of products for individual hygiene (hydroalcoholic gels and soap) is encouraged.
  
• Appropriate cleaning and disinfection of all establishments and all materials for activities (especially toilets and similar common areas).
  

Specific measures: 

• Outdoors and in enclosed public spaces. You may not smoke or use tobacco inhalation devices when it is not possible to guarantee a 2-metre separation. Smoking is not permitted on public highways.
  
• Public and/or group transport. Masks must be worn by adults and children over the age of six, except if you are disabled or have a respiratory condition. Seats will be assigned on tour buses.
  
• Tourist accommodation. Capacity is restricted in common areas, at social activities and in group classes, as per the required social distancing. You will also come across served buffets, where food is plated individually, or self-service buffets, where there are separator screens in the food areas.
  
• Active tourism. Open-air active tourism activities entail little risk and are usually run for small groups. Nonetheless, individual sports materials cannot be shared and specific cleaning and disinfection protocols are in place.
