The Civil Guard of Puerto del Rosario arrested, on July 3, a 50-year-old person for the alleged authorship of three crimes of damage for hitting the same ATM with a large stone up to three different dates, located on Avenida del Castillo in the town of Caleta de Fuste, to leave it out of service, amounting to the value of the damage caused to 8,234 euros.
The Civil Guard began an investigation following the first complaint from the injured company, where it was stated that a person had hit the device until it was inoperative, with the consequent damage to citizens.
This event was repeated at the same ATM on up to three different dates, on March 11, April 29 and May 27, with the Civil Guard initiating an investigation as a result of the first incident, carrying out the visual technical inspection and collecting data from possible witnesses in conjunction with a thorough viewing of the security cameras located in the device itself and in the vicinity, thus managing to identify the physical appearance of the alleged perpetrator.
It so happens that the investigators realized that the person seen in the related images could be the same as the one accused in recent similar Events, proving how the identity of the perpetrator could be determined without any doubt.
For this reason, a search device was established to carry out his arrest, being arrested on July 3, by the Civil Guard in the town of Caleta de Fuste.
In addition, it was found that the detainee, who has numerous records of a similar nature, had two search and arrest warrants in force from two different Courts of Puerto del Rosario for crimes of damage, being therefore at the disposal of the Court in charge of Guard in Puerto del Rosario.
