Agents of the National Police have arrested four young people, (two men and two women) aged between 23 and 28, within the framework of an operation against drug trafficking and membership of a criminal organization in Puerto del Rosario.
The investigation began on April 5 of this year, when a 23-year-old man was caught in a prefabricated container where he was making narcotic substances, specifically crack.
As a result of this first arrest, the agents began to follow the trail of a network dedicated to the acquisition, preparation and distribution of cocaine, crack and hashish in the town.
During the investigations, it was found that those under investigation regularly used vehicles to transport the substances and hold meetings with others involved in drug trafficking, acting as an intermediate link within the criminal structure.
Two homes of those under investigation were entered and searched, in which 3,651 grams of hashish, 1,066 grams of cocaine, 445 grams of marijuana, 47 anabolic pills, €39,164 in cash, knives, material and utensils for cutting and weighing drugs were seized, as well as two vehicles used for distribution.
Once the Police proceedings were completed, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, which decreed the immediate imprisonment of the two main suspects.
With this operation, the National Police dismantled a drug trafficking network that operated in Puerto del Rosario, managing to eliminate two active points of sale in the town, and continues its work in the fight against drug trafficking on the islands.
