The Pine Tides coincide with north-west sea force.
The Tides of the Pine coincide, this year yes, with the weekend of the festivities of the patron saint of the island of Gran Canaria. In this case, from this Thursday, we will already feel quite high the tidal coefficient, but it will be from the weekend when, with the full moon, (early morning from Saturday to Sunday) we will have with 104 the highest tidal coefficient of this last part of the year.
The highest tide this Saturday will be at 14.24, with a height of 1.4 meters and the lowest will be at 20.37 also lowering the corresponding 1.4 meters of the average. Everything indicates that this Saturday waves of up to three meters can be recorded in some areas north and west of Fuerteventura, so caution is recommended.
Models indicate that on Sunday, with coefficients almost identical to Saturday, the Tides will still be very long, but the force will decrease. In this case, the high tide will be at 15.03 in the afternoon.
The force rises on Monday
On Monday, still with a high tidal coefficient, with 98 and 1.4 rising at 15.41, the models point to the entry of a lot of sea force, with a period of 25. And, although it is still early to confirm the forecast, it could cause some problems in coastal towns, especially north and west of Fuerteventura.
