Department of Sports and together with the company Esencia. This event will be surrounded by a very lively social atmosphere that will be perceived between the streets of the capital and the maritime avenue of Puerto del Rosario.
All this for the Festivities in Honor of Our Lady of the Rosary that, among other activities, will host this first triathlon, the celebration of the Oktoberfest and also the arrival of the first cruise of the new winter season 2022-2023 that will mean that more than 3,800 tourists and neighbors of the island and the capital visit the municipality and enjoy all these activities.
In the words of the first municipal president, Juan Jiménez, "we are very proud and happy to celebrate this own and long-awaited triathlon event, after months of work to take it forward and that, we are sure, will delight the athletes of this type of sports Events in a municipality like ours and that, in addition, will give a boost to the local economy and tourism. "
The mayor also stressed that "this government team is a pioneer in carrying out different sports Events that until now had not been developed historically in the capital, this being one of them". "The sport of the three sports", as defined by councilor Sonia Álamo to this First Triathlon city of Puerto, it will host two different modalities: the sprint modality, on the one hand, and by teams, on the other.
