I think the 2 women were taking the pi$$, there is no way they were going to a doctors at 2:30am for a routine injection, they would have needed an appointment

Have to agree. No reason whatsoever to be swanning around at 2.30am.

One can only assume that they were likely well lubricated to be out at that time & think that citing a “medical appointment” would not appear absolutely ludicrous 🤣😂🤣😂

from RadioSintonia:

12 complaints are processed for not wearing masks in La Oliva

On August 14, the Government of the Canary Islands published the resolution updating certain prevention measures to face the health crisis of COVID-19, which established the mandatory use of a mask on public roads, in outdoor spaces. outdoors and in any enclosed space for public use, or that is open to the public, regardless of maintaining the interpersonal safety distance of at least 1.5 meters.

Since then, the Local Police of La Oliva has intensified control over compliance with these measures, having so far raised 12 reports of complaint for not wearing a mask. In this sense, the City Council of La Oliva, while underlining an acceptable degree of compliance with the rules, highlights the importance of strict compliance with the measures, “we play a lot, we risk our health, which is the most important thing we have, but we also risk our economic system and thousands of jobs. We have to be strict in complying with all the measures that the governments of Spain and the Canary Islands have been developing ”, clarifies Pilar González, mayor of La Oliva.

In addition, the local Police force has detected the consumption of alcohol in the public highway by holding  bottles , as well as musical performances without the mandatory municipal license and without complying with the interpersonal safety distance. Failure to comply with the health security measures, distancing and capacity, could lead to a financial penalty of 3,001 to 60,000 euros.

The Local Police has also drawn up an act on the opening of nightlife venues, which is not allowed, in addition to the opening hours of restaurants. In this sense, it is recalled that restaurants must close at 1:00, not admitting new customers after midnight.

The City Council of La Oliva has been reinforcing information on sanitary measures through its social networks, trying to create awareness about the importance of using a mask and maintaining distance.
In the framework of surveillance tasks, the Local Police has also made 19 complaints for serious infractions related to the consumption or possession of drugs, narcotics or psychotropic substances in public places or establishments, as well as for disobedience to the agents of the authority in the exercise of its functions, whose infractions will be sanctioned with fines of 601 to 30,000 euros.

Tamara: I was out in the car last Tuesday going to the cinema, 2 friends in car with me, we all had our masks on, parked up and the Police appeared from nowhere and started telling me off. I had crossed a solid white line to enter a parking space, oops, luckily I was just warned not fined. The Guardia Civil have taken to parking up on the Tindaya beach road and spot checking vehicles again like they did in lockdown. Then it was making sure it was locals going to their houses, now it's checking that all occupants are housemates or wearing masks. Then today, I was sitting outside our local bar enjoying a coffee and a cigarette (I was all on my lonesome, no one else in sight) when the Policia Local drew up next to where I was sitting. Driver got out and came up to me gesturing at my cigarette - I thought I know I'm ok, no one else within 10m, mask around my neck in case needed which I pulled up as he approached. Turned out he was bumming a cigarette, sat at the table with me while he smoked it!  Big Grin

Similar reports from around the world. Masks are an infringement of their human/religious/civil rights. "The government can't make me wear anything" etc...

I wouldn't mind if they were all nudists, but none of them seem to object to clothes being mandatory!  Big Grin

I try to briefly summarize today's article from Canarias7

https://www.canarias7.es/canarias/fuerte...32-nt.html

The  Guardia Civil  and the Policía Local  established a unit for the prevention of COVID 19 related violations. Yesterday they patrolled in the north of Fuerteventura, specifically in Lajares, El Cotillo and Corralejo.

The registered 18 violations:
  • 16 for not complying with the mandatory use of the mask (apparently 7 of those people were wearing a mask, but not correctly)
  • 1 business for not having a license and
  • 1 for not complying with the established closing hours.
