Earthquake IN THE CENTER OF TENERIFE. - Today we start with a lot of volcanic activity, besides Hawaii, also the island of Tenerife moves and the earthquakes that started a few days ago have joined a few more tonight in the area of the Caldera de Ucanca, where we have already had or a good swarm.

The IGN has located 20 and Involcan says there are more than 20, which leaves us 20% of what we are having, nothi
ng new, we already know it's like that. The seismicity is concentrated in the area of the magmatic reservoir under the boiler between 11 and 17 km.
Also highlight a microsism in the Teide peak area and another in the Icod area of wines, as in 2004, which join the ones I put in the previous post.
In view of the increasing activity in Tenerife, which has been anticipated by a pulse of CO2 gas in the Teide smoke area and measured by Involcan, we will see how far it goes this time. Let's hope it gets quiet soon, though we're heading into the winter solstice. The triple eruption of 1704 started at the end of
December that year, let's hope it doesn't repeat, for that it would have to increase the activity a lot and very quickly... But after the Palma thing, which took 8 days, I believe anything.
This is how they comment on INVOLCAN:
From 03:11 hours Friday
November 25 until 14:00 hours (Canary Time) today
November 28, 2022, the Canary Seismic Network, managed by the Canary Islands Volcanologico Institute (INVOLCAN) has detected more than 100 low earthquakes magnitude. These seismic
Events are mainly located in the Las Cañadas area at depths of between 10 and 20 km. All earthquakes have very low magnitudes, with the maximum value so far being 1.3 on the Richter Scale. Seismic
Events are mainly focused in three time zones: the evening of the 25, the early 26 and the morning of
November 27, 2022. Since
June 2017, an increase in the frequency and appearance of small seismic swarms has been observed in Tenerife. This seismicity likely reflects a pressurization process of the volcanic-hydrothermal system, linked to injecting magmatic gases into the system. This process, which began in 2016, is also manifested by an increase in diffused emission of carbon dioxide (CO2), emanations invisible to the human eye, in the Teide crater since last
November 2016. "During this period no significant ground deformations have been observed; therefore, direct implication of a surface magmatic system is unlikely."
Also highlight an intense movement in the Azores of magnitude 5.9, in the area of the triple point of the dorsal, which is noticed in all seismograms of the archipelago, which does only indicate the regional tensions that exist in the Canary Islands area s and closeness.

Let's hope it doesn't go to much more, but certainly a rebound if it is, we'll see how it ends.

PS: - I can't link the Canary Islands Volcanological Institute for some reason from this space of Volcanoes and Sciences. I shared this morning but it doesn't come up.
