What's the weather like? - December 2019

Captain has beat me to it today with the forecast so I will just post the pictures -

High winds and rain in Corralejo, been like it the last hour or so.

Still blowing a near gale though......

After the early morning rain, it's been a mix of sun and cloud.  The wind is stong and blustery as forecast.  25 in the shade at midday.

A Nice lunchtime as Captain has mentioned our thermometer is reading 28C in the sun out of the wind that has certainly got up.

Sandstorm over Lajares which, when it reached us, was accompanied
by a heavy rain squall.  Still very windy.

A mix of sun and cloud during the afternoon in Puerto del Rosario, and the wind died down.

Corralejo - midday

the showers had passed for now and the wind had picked up



Back in Tindaya, 3.30pm, had trouble opening the car door! Wind from WNW. Passed through sandstorms and showers on the way back from Corralejo.


Drove to Puerto around 4pm and it was quite hairy in places. There was a lorry in front of me and a car towing a caravan - both were all over the place.

Back in Tindaya the wind moved round to NW then N and eased off by 9pm. Another light shower around 8pm.

Well yesterday was windy as the video showed, when sun was out and you were out of the wind it was warm. Had to go and pick Tricky Fox up to take him for a medical appointment as he couldn't drive, at their house the wind almost took the car door off.  Over night we have had more rain.

This morning at at 7.40am it is 11C with about 40% cloud cover, a light wind and lot of moisture still from last nights rain.

                             

                      

Today's Caleta forecast - 

A mix of sun and cloud most of the day more sun than cloud from 2 pm, temperature to reach 21C from 1pm to 5pm with a UV factor of 4 at midday.
Wind from the NW / NNW all day with speeds this morning of 15 to 24KMph increasing from 12 noon to 28KMph with gusts up to 30KMph and easing later in the afternoon to 18 to 22KMph

El Cotillo... The forecast, after overnight cloud has burnt off, there is a clear sunny day ahead, with temperatures in the high teens. The NNW wind will be fresh and onshore, decreasing in speed throughout the day, starting at around 20mph at 9.00am. dropping to 11mph by 6.00pm. Over the next few day until Sunday, the forecast is for light winds and sunshine.
