What's the weather like? - February 2021

Yesterday very much as forecast, a mainly sunny day with only a light wind, at 11pm a very clear starry sky.  In the photos thermometer temperatures are top in the shade bottom in the sun.

                   

                   

                         

This morning at 7.25am a lot of dark clouds about, we have had a shower of rain in the last hour, 16C hardly a breath of wind and the sea if flat calm.

                           

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mostly cloudy morning and a partly sunny afternoon, shade temperature to get up to 21C by 1pm with the UV factor reaching 5 at midday and air quality will be fair.

Wind from the west this morning moving N before coming from the NE / NNE by 2pm for the rest of the afternoon and early evening, wind speeds today very light at 6 to 11Kmph.

Tindaya - much the same as yesterday after a damp start. Shower around 8am and then drizzle for an hour.
Mt Teide was visible after sunset for the second day in a row.

Good morning from Caleta where yesterday was IMO better than forecast, it did cloud over late afternoon and the wind did pick up about 6pm.

                   

                           

This morning at 7.30an it is grey and overcast, 17C, a very light breeze and no condensation.

                           

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mix of cloud and sun, the better part of the day being this afternoon, shade temperature to get up to 21c at 1pm for 3 or 4 hours, UV factor to reach 5 at midday with fair air quality.

Wind this morning from the NNW at 9 to 11Kmph moving to come from the NE by 1pm for the rest of the afternoon and early evening at 15 to 19Kmph with gust up to 24Kmph.

Today was a reverse of the forecast, much nicer this morning rather than this afternoon!
Spotted some happy surfers in the bay when I popped in to Corralejo late morning:

 

There is currently a warning out for 'coastal Events'! Spring Tides, swells and big waves I think.

It was very much as forecast here in Caleta yesterday.

                   

                   

                   

This morning we had a light shower of rain at 6am, at 7.50am a mix of sun and cloud, a stong breeze / moderate wind,  17C and no condensation.

                   

                           

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mix of sun and cloud with the better part of the day being this morning, the shade temperature will get up to 21C at 1pm with the UV factor reaching 4 / 5 from 10am to midday, air quality will be fair.

Wind from the NNE this morning and from the NE this afternoon, wind speeds all day of 22 to 26Kmph with gusts up to 28Kmph.

An early morning post from Caleta, off to golf at 8am.  Yesterday there was much less cloud than forecast but the wind appeared much stronger IMO.

                           

                           

At 7am still dark, it has been fairly windy overnight and is still so, 17C, appears to be full cloud cover overhead.

Today's Caleta forecast -

A mix of sun and cloud shade temperature to get up to 21C by 1pm for 3 or 4 hours during the afternoon, UV factor to reach up to 6 at lunch time when the sun appears from behind any cloud there is, air quality fair.

Wind from the NE / NNE all day at 26 to 30Kmph with gusts up to 36Kmph this morning.

Yesterday was a grey start and morning but the cloud cleared about midday to leave a nice warm sunny afternoon but it was windy.

                   

                           

This morning at 8am it is a grey start again, 17C, windy so feels much cooler and no condensation.

Cloud to reduce during the morning to give a mostly sunny lunch time and sunny afternoon, shade temperature to get up to 22C at 4pm withe UV factor reaching 5 / 6 at middday, air quality is fair.

Wind from the NE all day at 20 to 22Kmph with gusts up to 24Kmph easing slightly early evening.

Good morning from Caleta where yesterday was as forecast.

           

                   

This morning at 7.50 14C a light breeze a lot of condensation and a cloudless sky but it is already hazy with the arrival of the Calima that Tamara has mentioned, the Yellow warning for wind and dust is in place from midday today until midnight tomorrow (Tuesday/Wednesday).

           

                   

Today's Caleta forecast -

A Sunny day with the yellow warning as mentioned, shade temperature to get up to 25C for a few hours from 1pm with the UV factor reaching 5 / 6 from 11am to 2pm, air quality it say it will be fair which I question with the dust warning.

Wind from the NNW this morning at 13 to 24Kmph with gusts up to 24Kmph moving NE then ESE by 1pm for 2 hours then swirling around from a generally easterly direction for the rest of the afternoon and early evening at 19 to 24Kmph.
