The Calima that has been on the horizon for 3/4 days and forecast not to affect the islands has arrived and, while the yellow warning for extreme heat is still in place, and yellow warning for dust has been issued from this afternoon until at least Monday

Presumably calima induced, a gale roared into Tindaya around 8.30pm, blowing a hooley out there

not sure why a little box has appeared around the word 'still'! 

Now at 10.30pm light drizzle in the wind!

At midnight the wind dropped completely.

Good Morning from Caleta

Yesterday, not at all as forecast, the cloud did start  to clear, but around noon,  it started to cloud over again a light Calima that has been on the horizon for a couple of days, and was not forecast to reach,The Island has arrived, and is forecast to hang around until at least next Friday at 18:00 it was still 26C but, what sun there was, was very hazy, and the wind picked up to 35/40KJPH

Very humid at 94% cloud cover 35% temperature 24C but it feels more like 28/29C, wind N/N/Easterly 15/20KPH

Forecast. A warm day with intervals' of sunshine and cloud, temperatures to be in the High 20s low 30,s but to feel warmer due to the humidity, the wind to be mostly N/n/Easterly 18/22KPh gusting 30/35KPH

Hot and muggy, few odd spots of rain, no sun, poor visibility, no wind, not even a slight breeze! Until a few moments ago (half past midnight) when a gale roared in again!

Good Morning from Caleta


Yesterday,


Apparently it rained heavily in Caleta circa 04:00, a fact I was blissfully unaware of, but does explain the amount of dust on my car, otherwise, very much as forecast a mix of sunshine and cloud, temperatures in the low 30,s for most of the day but given the humidity felt much warmer, at 14:30 temperature was 31C and the humidify 94% at 18:30 temperature 27C humidity 90%, the rain came to nothing although it was trying to rain most of the morning.

Yesterday,
A day that was much as forecast the sun started to burn the haze off circa 10:15 shade temperature 25C by 13:30 there was some hazy blue sky, shade temperature was 31C but the humidity had reduce to around 80%, circa 19/30 the sun finally burned through, as it did Saturday evening leaving some patchy blue sky, at 23:30 temperature was still 25C and the humidity had increased to 95%

8:00 yet another hazy start but this morning you can see some blue sky through the haze temperature is 24C wind is Northerly 3/5KPH

A very warm day, by 11:45there was a hazy blue sky, shade temperature s 33C wind N/Easterly 6/7KPH 15:30 shade temperature 30C, early evening the wind strengthened somewhat 15/20KPH
