What's your favourite beach in Fuerteventura?

The hidden beach off of Tindaya or 100 steps beach just along the coast are my favourites

Never been to either. Are they 'Rental car wreckers' like Cofete and playa Juan Gomez?

You can have a nice stroll from El Cotillo if you're not comfortable "wrecking" your own car. And yes, similar drive to the one taking you to Cofete beach just a shorter distance.

Thanks for the replies. While I am funny about wrecking my own car, years ago I took a rental car back in not quite the condition that I would expect to find it. Tip. When collecting a car at the airport, always take a quick look underneath the front end for signs of Fuertefatigue !   
I am older and wiser now in that I know when to turn around and go back. Sounds like it is worth a look

The Travellers' Choice 2021 of Tripadvisor, have chosen the Beach of Cofete as one of the best 25 in the world, being specifically positioned at number 11.

Cofete dazzles at the awards for its "miles of wild and beautiful beach, surrounded by mountains that seem to flow into the water."

As published today by La Vanguardia, TripAdvisor has announced one more year the Travellers' Choice Beaches, the awards that recognize the best beaches on the planet. In the tenth edition of the Best of the Best, the Caribbean Grace Bay, on the island of Providenciales, in the Turks and Caicos Islands, has become no. 1 in the world, unseating the Australian Whitehaven, on the island of Whitsunday, which has disappeared from the list of the top 25. It's not the first time Grace Bay has been considered the best, reports La Vanguardia. And it is that the 20 kilometers of white sands and turquoise waters make it an incomparable setting. It is followed by Varadero Beach, in Cuba, and Turquoise Bay, in Exmouth, Australia

The TripAdvisor ranking includes beaches for all tastes, from extensive sandy areas to rocky coves, as it is made based on the opinion and comments that travelers have made on the platform during the last 12 months. Be that as it may, everyone is sure to find one that fits their preferences.
This year's list of the best in Europe includes the beach of Muro, in Mallorca, located in third place in the continental ranking, and that of Sotavento, in Fuerteventura, in the ninth, which confirms, once again, the beauty and quality of Spanish beaches. In the top 10 there are also two Italian beaches, two Portuguese, two British, two Greek and one from Cyprus and Portugal, respectively.
Muro Beach
With turquoise waters, shallow and protected from the waves, the beach of Muro is an extensive sandy area of almost six kilometers of the natural park of s'Albufera. Ideal for families, it is one of the best preserved virgin beaches in the bay of Alcúdia, so it is not surprising that it is one of the favorites of travelers from the Old Continent. It is easily accessible -it has wooden promenades and some sections are suitable for wheelchairs-, and has parking and all kinds of facilities and restaurants. It has different sections, so it is possible to relax with total tranquility and also practice water sports.
Sotavento Beach
The second Spanish beach among the best in Europe occupies the ninth place in the top ten. It is the beach of Sotavento, in Costa Calma, located in the southeast of Fuerteventura. Wild looking, in reality its ten kilometers are the sum of five beaches that, at low tide, can be traveled as if it were just one. It is a quiet place, although windy, with large dunes and crystal clear and shallow waters, ideal for practicing modalities such as windsurfing highlights La Vanguardia

i would say the Corralejo Beach. I mean i had a fun time stand-up paddling along the coast, taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. then you can try snorkelling kayaking and so mamy other things... Ig this is the only one that offers so many options isnt it?

A friend of mine recently visited this beach and told me all about its options. I'm looking foward to visiting this one on my next holiday!
