Apologies for the travelogue, but someone did ask!

No apologies needed, your post could help someone to decide where to stay/move to.

Where do you play tennis in Caleta if I might ask.

Cheers, Sam! We usually play on the two courts at the Elba Lucia, Costa Antigua, where we have monthly ‘sports membership’. Just ‘competitive social’ level, none of us particularly skilled, but new players always welcomed! We play padel at Fran Y Chemi, best courts in the Canaries, brilliant fun!

The courts at the Barcelo and the Sheraton are, sadly, not terribly well maintained, Sam, and I think they are only available on a ‘by the hour’ hire basis. I don’t have a link, but the Elba Lucia in Costa Antigua had two good courts. These can be hired by the hour, or you can take out a monthly membership (33€) to use the courts when not booked by guests etc. If you drop in at reception the ladies on the desk are very helpful and friendly. I’m OK with Spanish, but most do speak good English.

If you want other people to play against, regardless of standard, rustiness etc, feel free to PM me!
