Today I found a snail on my thermometer. Now normally these are crunched underfoot and thrown to the lizards and birds as I vehemently hate them for gorging on the new growth of my plants. For some reason today the patterns on the shell caught my eye and made me think about how incredible these little creatures are, growing their shells throughout their life. Then it was crunch...
However, if I find tiny little snails I pop them in my compost bin where the geckoes feed on them! I've actually seen this happen although never managed to capture it on camera.

When playing golf I have been fascinated by the spoonbills that gather on the undeveloped land surrounded by the 5th 12th & 13th holes behind the Repsol garage, took my good camera with me yesterday when golfing ang got these photos -
