I've just received an email from IKEA Family offering Health Insurance from 36€ per month. It looks like they are partnered with Mapfre. I'm not going to investigate further as not required personally but thought others may be interested.
The email says you can phone them or enquire in the shop.

I know this is a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question, but would anyone be willing to share ballpark figures for car ownership on the island these days? Beginning to consider picking up a small second-hand runabout, and was wondering what costs are like lately.
