The National Police in Puerto del Rosario in collaboration with the Customs Surveillance Service of Las Palmas, has arrested a 32-year-old man with a Police record, and a 31-year-old woman with no Police record, both for a drug trafficking crime.
The Police investigation began as a result of complaints from neighbours, in which they stated that in a Cannabis Association and a Cannabis Club located in the capital of Fuerteventura and close to a school, the sale and consumption of narcotic substances such as marijuana sativa and hashish in considerable quantities was taking place, thus creating a social alarm in the area. due to the continuous transit of vehicles and people, mostly young people who came to buy and consume these substances.
The Police officers mounted an operation that had the collaboration of the Customs Surveillance Service of Las Palmas, in which it was possible to verify the veracity of the facts and to be accredited that the sale and distribution of marijuana and hashish was carried out in both premises.
The investigation ended on January 24 of this year, with the entry and Police search of both premises, where 3,130 grams of marijuana buds, 7,125 grams of chopped marijuana buds, 45 branches of marijuana plants with a total weight of 147 grams, 370 grams of hashish, 139 grams of pollen powder were seized, three precision scales, and utensils for the preparation and dosage of narcotic substances.
Once the Police proceedings were completed, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
