Arrested in Fuerteventura for beating and holding his partner in a house.
Agents of the National Police have arrested in Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura, a 37-year-old man, with a Police record, for beating and holding his partner in a house. The detainee is allegedly accused of the crimes of ill-treatment in the family, illegal detention, sexual assault and breach of sentence. The alleged perpetrator threatened the victim with harming her children if she left the house. The arrested man had a restraining order on the victim. He threatened the officers with killing the woman if they entered the home.
The National Police learned that an attack was taking place on Castilla Street in the capital of Majorca, so several Police patrols immediately attended. The agents who moved to the scene found a man quite upset who threatened to kill his partner if they tried to access the home. She was held in the house for several hours against her will.
It was necessary the intervention of a crew of firefighters to access the house, since the door was crossed with a fence, managing the author to flee through a window. Once the agents accessed the home, they were able to attend to the victim who was transferred by ambulance to the hospital in Fuerteventura due to the injuries he presented.
Given the seriousness of the facts, a Police investigation was carried out to find the whereabouts of the same, who was located and arrested in Puerto del Rosario as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of ill-treatment in the family, illegal detention, sexual assault and breach of sentence.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, which ordered his immediate entry into prison.
