Intercepted 1 kilo of cocaine hidden in a vehicle to Corralejo.
The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Yaiza (Lanzarote), arrested yesterday a 44-year-old person with a Police record, for a crime against public health, when he was surprised with 1,140 grams of cocaine hidden inside his vehicle when he was going to embark on one of the shipping companies that makes the journey from Playa Blanca – Corralejo (Fuerteventura).
The Events occurred on the afternoon of July 14 when the Civil Guard in the course of an identification device for passengers and vehicles, held a driver who showed a certain state of nervousness in the presence of the agents. For this reason, one of the agents carried out a more exhaustive search inside the vehicle, locating certain anomalies in the upholstery of one of the rear doors of the car, verifying that in that area there was a rectangular package, hidden in the door frame.
The Civil Guard immediately activated the Cynological Service for a more complete check of the vehicle, not detecting more drugs than had already been seized.
The agents, when identifying the driver, detect fractional bills of different value among the belongings, being intervened.
Narcotest
Test Inspected the contents and performed the narcotest test of the packaging, it tested positive for cocaine, adding a total weight of 1,140 grams, therefore, immediately proceeded to the seizure of the drug and the arrest of the passenger for the alleged authorship of a crime against public health.
For all these reasons, the corresponding Police proceedings were carried out by the Unit, being at the disposal of the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Arrecife (Lanzarote).
