A passenger with cocaine in her system was arrested at Fuerteventura airport
Coming from a flight from Barcelona, the arrested woman was carrying a wrapper with 216 grams of cocaine inside her.
The Civil Guard of Fuerteventura arrested a 38-year-old woman on June 20, 2024, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against Public Health, when she was detected in the arrivals hall of Fuerteventura airport from a flight from Barcelona carrying cocaine inside her body.
The Events occurred on June 20, 2024, when the Civil Guard of the Tax and Borders Section, within the framework of the functions of the State Tax Guard and the actions aimed at preventing and prosecuting smuggling, proceeded to inspect a flight from Barcelona.
Given the nervous and evasive attitude of the alleged perpetrator, it was decided to identify her to conduct an interview, due to her incongruous answers and the strong state of nervousness, she was invited to a radiological examination, which she agreed to.
Finally, she was transferred to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura, where after a first examination a foreign object was observed inside her body, recognizing that she was carrying a single wrapper with substances containing 216.7 grams of cocaine.
The detainee along with the proceedings were brought before the Guard Court of Puerto del Rosario.
