The Civil Guard and the Tax Agency have arrested a 28-year-old man when he arrived in Gran Canaria on a boat from Fuerteventura with a vehicle in which he hid 32.25 kilos of hashish in the doors and under the hood, for which a judge has ordered his provisional detention.
The accused of an alleged crime against public health in the form of drug trafficking was surprised after disembarking in the port of La Luz by Civil Guard agents who were carrying out routine inspection work, who stopped the vehicle he was driving after it carried out "maneuvers considered unusual" when leaving the ship.
Inside the car, numerous packages of hashish were found hidden in the doors and under the windshield gutter.
The agents seized the drugs and the vehicle, and the detainee was placed at the disposal of the duty court of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which has decreed his entry into provisional detention.
