The Carnival of La Oliva is celebrated between February 28 and March 21, with Day and Night Street Carnival and "The professions" as allegory
The City Council presented the poster design and outstanding Events such as the Adult Queen Gala (March 6), the Day and Night Carnival (March 7), the Drag Queen Gala (March 9) or the Coso Carnavalero (14 of March). This year there will be a holiday on Carnival Tuesday, March 10.

Events met today to present the poster design and the main
Events of the program:

The northern
Carnival will begin on Thursday,
February 28 with the presentation in Corralejo de la Murga Las Sargoriás, which celebrates its 15th anniversary, and will end on March 21 in La Oliva, with the traditional Day
Carnival at the Raíz del Pueblo Cultural Center. In between, it is worth noting the Dance Gala on Thursday, March 12, the
Carnival of the Elderly on Wednesday 11, and the Children's Party on
Carnival Tuesday, March 10.
As main novelties, the councillor of Festejos, Omaira Saavedra, advanced, "this year the
Carnival of Day will continue to grow, and we will have both day and night programming in the street, for a very special party." It is also noteworthy that there will be
Carnival Tuesdays, "with a holiday on March 10, when this year's Sunday day coincides with La Candelaria." In this way, Monday 9th will be the Drag Queen Gala, and that night there will also be a festival.
The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, thanked the work of the Department of Festivities that coordinates the program, and the rest of the areas involved, Oliver González for Works and Service in assembly and logistics tasks, Rafael Benítez with drug dependence prevention actions and violence from Social Welfare, or Marcelino Umpiérrez from Tourism, with the sponsorship of the Drag Queen Gala and promoting the
Carnival, in addition to the special device that is enabled in these parties from the Cleaning services.
The mayor sent a message of "special thanks to the
Carnival groups, because without them this
Carnival would not be possible." Soon, the City Council of La Oliva will present the poster with all the scheduled
Events.
