The new season of the Cruise Market begins in the capital.
More than 3,000 cruise passengers visit the Cruise Market with artisanal products and typical gastronomy of the islands.
This Thursday, December 15, the mayor of Puerto del Rosario, Juan Jiménez, together with the councilors of Tourism and Contracting, Sonia Álamo and Peña Armas, visited the Cruise Market of the popular Primero de Mayo street that today has begun with the impulse of the Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Fuertegourmet Association.
The municipality of Puerto del Rosario will receive approximately 40 cruise ships until May 2023, being the days in which the capital pier receives two or more cruises when this Market is present with more than 20 stalls selling handicrafts and typical gastronomy of the land, waiting for the visit of the more than 3,000 cruise passengers who during those days get off the ship to get to know the city.
Both Mayor Juan Jiménez and councilors Sonia Álamo and Peña Armas have been happy "with the good reception that this Cruise Market has had on its first day, with high participation of tourists and good sales for the benefit of our artisans and local producers. "
It is worth mentioning the work carried out by the workers of the PFAE of Tourist Information in these days of reception of cruise passengers in the municipality, as well as the musical atmosphere offered to tourists visiting Puerto del Rosario by the folkloric groups that make known the Canarian music and the typical clothing of the island, besides that they can enjoy and know more about the vernacular sport, the Canarian wrestling, on the beach of Los Pozos.
