Hi to all,
What documents do you need to get discounted travel for Spain if you are a resident? (Green card holder)
Cheers Bob.

Your passport and your green sheet of paper. My advice for what it’s worth is to go to a Notery and get your papers copied and stamped and signed that they are true copies of the originals. Most places accept them and it saves the original ones from getting tattered.

Although technically correct, as all the travel companies are by now supposed to be fully integrated into the official system which I think has the acronym SARA, I would go to your local town hall and ask for travel empadrons, they cost 50 cents and could save you a lot of hassle, we flew to Barcelona a couple of weeks ago for a w/end, and were asked for them, we already had them, so no problem, remember this is Spain, and if they can complicate things they will.

I got our first Empadrons last year. No great hassle getting them, apart from waiting for the different departments Antigua council offices to speak to one another, lol (unsurprisingly, I don’t think they do).
Anyway, when I went back to get the actual certificates the guy asked me if they were paperwork use only or did I want them for travel !! Never asked if we were actually “resident” as such, should have said yes when I had the option !!

Do you actually have to be resident to get discount or just registered as a home owner on the empadron. Thanks
Am I right in thinking that if you have a '
Firma Electronica' you can print the travel empadron direct from the website?
