A man dies after the overturning of a zodiac in Fuerteventura.
This morning, at 10:00 am, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert informing that a zodiac had overturned on Jandía Beach, in the municipality of Pájara and that its occupants were in the water.
The necessary emergency resources were activated and the GES helicopter located and rescued one of its three occupants in cardiorespiratory arrest and transferred him to the Morro Jable Pier. The SUC staff performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without success, confirming the death.
The other two crew members of the zodiac managed to get out under their own power.
