Fisherman rescued from sea

According to 112, the GES helicopter rescues a fisherman after falling into the sea in Fuerteventura.

Assessment of those affected provided by the SUC:

• A 50-year-old male who, at the initial moment of care, presents moderate polycontusions, except for complications, transferred by basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.

• At the time indicated above, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert, made from an SOS pole located in the area, in which it was reported that a fisherman had fallen into the sea and had thrown a life preserver in the area mentioned above.
  
• 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
  
• Rescuers from the GES helicopter accessed the affected person, proceeded to rescue him and evacuated him to a safe place.
  
• Once on land, the SUC staff assisted the fisherman and transferred him to the aforementioned hospital.
  
• Local Police and Firefighters of the Emergency Group of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura intervened in the rescue device deployed in the area.
