Electronic signs throughout Luton airport were telling all passengers to self isolate even though the quarantine rules changed the day before. A number of passengers on our flight did not have the forms, I guess they just assumed they were no longer needed.
On a different note, the Island felt much safer than the UK.
Same story in Ireland, but I believe the problem will come when someone who was on a flight gets sick and is asked to report their movements for the previous couple of weeks. If they mention coming in on a flight and a locator form can't be found for them, they could be in for some trouble.

Thanks for the info Jason - very relevant as we'll be arriving into Luton too on our return in
August. In your experience, do they accept an electronic version of the form on your mobile? Were the forms checked by the immigration officers or prior to immigration?

We travelled via Luton. PDF version of the form on mobile from the Gov website is ok. They had a bunch of personnel intercepting everyone before Passport control.
Quick check only.

Exactly as Archer says - you can fill the form in on your phone and if i recall it downloads the completed form for you to save or print, border control were only interested in if you had the form not what was on it as in theory it is saved centrally already. It takes 10-15 minutes to complete the form online and it can only be completed i think 48 hours prior to flying. I do feel they should have reminders before boarding and on the flight, i don't remember either, the checks were before passport control. I had a panic as i usually fly from Stansted and entered this on the form in error but it wasn't checked.

Anyone departed Fuerteventura airport in tha last few days willing to give a summary of what's open, what's closed and life in general in the departure lounges?
We fly back to the UK on Friday morning and just wondered if we are likely to get coffee and a snack (perhaps lunch) before we board and what shops might be open plus duty free.
TIA.
Tom.

Ryanair
Ryanair will run flights to Spanish airports but on its website, it states: "Passengers are not allowed to enter Spain."
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advised against all non-essential travel to the Spanish holiday islands following a rise in some parts of mainland Spain.
The move brought the FCO advice into line with existing advice for mainland Spain and with the UK Goverment's decision to impose a 14-day quarantine requirement on people arriving from the whole of the country.
But the quarantine policy has been criticised by Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who described it as an "error".
Couldn't find this on the
Ryanair website? Seems to still say no entry restrictions, which is my understanding, the FCO advice doesn't mean you cant travel. Describing it as an error is an understatement, have you been down the coast in the UK on a sunny afternoon? I know where i would feel safer.

I looked at the
Ryanair website this morning and it did say passengers were not allowed to enter Spain. However, it has now disappeared. Clearly it was an error by someone!!
