Hello, I'm outside Gran Tarajal's ground for the 1200 match against Lanzarote. The ground is deserted.

Does anyone know if the game has been rescheduled or postponed?

Herbania are top with 19 points, the same as Las Playitas who are 2nd. CD Cotillo are 3rd with 18 points. Playas are 10th and Tarajalejo 15th.

Strange, I see that you have posted the match result at about 4 o'clock. I last checked the ground at 1330 and still there was no activity. I must have been in the wrong place.

I went to the UD Gran Tarajal municipal stadium by the coast on the east side of town, not far from the bus station. Did they play somewhere else today?

It's definately not being played at the Gran Tarajal ground. It looks more like Tuineje from the landscape.

A long, long time ago, I went to an event (not Football) that was scheduled to be at a particular stadium. It was deserted. I called a taxi and asked where the event was and was taken to the next town, it had been rearranged and I think only the players knew!

That's a good idea about checking You Tube. I didn't find yesterday's game but looking at this one from two months ago, a home match against Victoria, I'm thinking that this might be Los Pozos. 

If Gran Tarajal are playing their home matches at Los Pozos then that is quite funny because I'm based near there and could have walked to the match.

A long, long time ago, I went to an event (not football) that was scheduled to be at a particular stadium. It was deserted. I called a taxi and asked where the event was and was taken to the next town, it had been rearranged and I think only the players knew!

That could have been an expensive taxi yesterday! Last week I went to see La Cuadra. The match was advertised to start at 1500 but in fact kickoff was one hour later. Hopefully it will be third time lucky this weekend.

The first website I checked showed the KO at 1pm but if you were there at 1.30pm and there was no life then it is a mystery. Just think you could have been at Cotillo watching seven goals, a red card and a very lucky win. Also check out Herbania who were unlucky to get relegated from group 12 last season. Las Playitas have some nice players too. 

Maybe the island would have more success if there were fewer teams to concentrate the best players as UP, GT, H, EC and LP are fairly evenly matched.

Yes I saw the result at Cotillo, that would have been good to see. England went one better though! It is strange how Herbania got relegated as there were a few teams below them.

They might benefit from a stronger team in Puerto Rosario but they would probably have a ceiling in the Tercera.

Apparently a disproportionate number of Canarian teams were relegated down into La Tercera so a large number of teams in group 12 needed to make way including Herbania. Early last season they were near the top well above UP and GT but fell away badly towards the end. 

Cotillo looked poor. Lots of injuries keeping players out but they still looked weak to me. I don’t expect them to stay this high in the league without some new faces. They would have lost on Sunday to a lowly placed outfit from GC if the other team hadn’t gone down to ten men when the score was 2-2.
