A rescue helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) assists a hiker injured after a fall in the Ascent of Las Lagunitas, Isla de Lobos, municipality of La Oliva.
The woman, 57 years old, had a moderate lower limb fracture at the initial time of the assistance and was transferred in a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura Virgen de La Peña.
The Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert, at 12:34 p.m., in which it was reported that a woman had fallen in the aforementioned place and could not continue the march. The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. The GES helicopter located the wounded and its rescuers proceeded to rescue and immobilize it for subsequent evacuation to Fuerteventura Airport. There a basic life support ambulance was waiting for her, whose staff carried out the health care of the affected woman and transferred her to the aforementioned hospital center.
